  11. What is GMPlay?
  12.  
  13. GMPlay  is  a player program for MIDI Files for the Commodore Amiga.  These
  14. files  usually carry the extension ".MID" and they are commonly used in the
  15. PC  sector.   GMPlay is currently the only public program to listen to MIDI
  16. files with the Amiga computer (without additional hardware).

  20. An Amiga with MC68020 CPU or better. Kickstart 2.0 or better is required.

  24. -plays General MIDI, Roland GS and Yamaha-XG MIDI files.
  25. -maximum 64 voice polyphony
  26. -it mixes with the processor in 16 bit stereo (intensive CPU load)
  27. -currently 128 instruments, any number of drums and drum kits.
  28. -the output is done in 14 bit stereo using the Paula chip.
  29. -the output sampling frequency can be freely chosen.
  30. -all samples are in IFF 8SVX format.
  31. -supports XPK compression for MIDI files and instruments.

  41. GMPlay  ist  ein  Abspielprogramm  für  MIDI Files für den Commodore Amiga.
  42. Diese  Dateien  tragen in der Regel die Endung ".MID" und sind im PC-Sektor
  43. weit  verbreitet.  GMPlay ist derzeit das einzige veröffentlichte Programm,
  44. um  MIDI  Files  mit  dem  Amiga  Computer (also ohne zusätzliche Hardware)
  45. anzuhören.
